Windows 10: Getting green boxes on monitor, then pc restarts.

    Getting green boxes on monitor, then pc restarts.


    I have Asus Gtx 650Ti Boost, after 4-6 hours of playing game or browsing internet, on my monitor i get green boxes all over the screen then pc restarts, and after restart pc boots normal without lines, one day after restart i let pc works for about 12 hours, but everything is normal. I replaced the thermal paste, and replacing thermal paste didn't help. Then i tried to reflow the card i used heat gun for 10 min, but still i didn't fix the problem. If anyone knows how to fix problem let me know. Here is some pic of problem https://imgur.com/a/7zvkY

    Run the beta version of the log collector and post a zip into this thread.

    There were no BSOD mini or memory dump files.
    The logs start on January 28, 2018 had displayed imminent drive failure since Jaunuary 28, 2018.
    The logs displayed problems with the Nvidia GPU since January, 28, 2018.
    The logs displayed numerous BSOD.
    The bugchecks were:
    119
    133
    124
    There were problems with dump file formation.
    .
    For all tests /steps please post images into the thread.
    If there are any problems posting images please use one drive or drop box share links.

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
    4) dism /online /cleanup-image /restoreheath
    5) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    6) Make a brand new restore point

    7) Backup all files to another drive or to the cloud

    8) Make a backup image using Macrium:
    Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free

    9) Make sure that there is no over clocking during the troubleshooting

    10) Run HD Tune:

    Post images into the thread for test results on each of these tabs:
    a) Health (SMART)
    b) Benchmark
    c) Full error scan

    11) Sometimes there are problems in the bios that produce bsod.

    12) Please check to see if this is the most up to date version.

    13) Open the website for the computer or motherboard manufacturer to view the drivers and post a URL or hyperlink into the thread.

    14) To ensure that there are no improper bios settings please reset the bios.
    15) Sometimes there can be failure to boot after resetting the bios.
    16) Make sure that you have backed up the files and made a backed up image

    17) If the computer has Ccleaner > click windows tab > scroll down to system and advanced > post an image into the thread

    18) In the left lower corner search type clean > open disk cleanup > scroll up and down > post images into the thread

    19) In the left lower corner search type: system or system control > open system control panel > on the left pane click advanced system settings
    a) > on the advanced tab under startup and recovery > click settings > post an image of the startup and recovery into the thread.
    b) > on the advanced tab under performance > click on settings > under performance options > click on the advanced tab > under virtual memory > click on change > post an image of the virtual memory tab into the thread

    20) Run memtest86+ version 5.01 for at least 8 passes.

    This may take hours so plan to run it overnight.
    a) Please make sure you use the Memtest86+ version 5.01 with the link below.

    The testing is done not by time but by passes.
    The more passes the better.
    There are a significant number of false negatives if fewer than 8 passes are made.
    A false negative is a test pass when there is malfunctioning RAM.
    There is 8 GB of RAM on the computer.
    Memtest86+ version 5.01 testing takes approximately 1 - 2 hours /GB RAM
    Just 1 error is a fail and you can abort testing.
    Then test 1 RAM module at a time in the same DIMM each for 8 or more passes.
    b) When Memtest86+ version 5.01 has completed 8 or more passes use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture and post an image into the thread.

    21) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    chkdsk /x /f /r
    This may take many hours so plan to run overnight

    22) Use the information in this link to find the chkdsk report in the event viewer. Copy and paste > notepad > save to the desktop > post into the thread

    This scanner can be used quickly to find various drive option replacements:
    Crucial System Scanner | Crucial.com
    When the drive is replaced there will be a new operating system with new drivers.
    So this should take care of multiple problems at the same time.

    Were you able to use Macrium to make a backup image or did it post errors preventing the backup image?
    Have you backed up all of the files with the imminent drive failure?
    For the administrative command prompt command copy and paste:
    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    Indicate whether it completed successfully or found problems.
    When available please update the tests /steps in post #4.

Curious to know if someone can point me in the right direction of figuring out a random Explorer.exe crash. I've checked in event viewer and can't seem to pin point it. Looking for suggestions.
